President Akufo-Addo calls for prayers at the Episcopal Ordination and Installation of new Bishop for Sehwi Wiawso Diocese

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has called on the Diocese of Sehwi Wiawso to pray for him and his government as they continue to lead the country with integrity and humility. The President made the call during the Episcopal Ordination and Installation of Rev. Msgr. Samuel Nkuah-Boateng as the new Bishop of the Sehwi Wiawso Diocese in the Western North region on April 21, 2023.

Addressing the Catholic Bishops present, the President urged believers to continue spreading goodwill messages to mankind for a serene society. He expressed hope that the diocese would continue to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, win souls, and serve the people of the region and the Almighty God.

“My prayer is that this diocese will continue to spread the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, win souls, and serve the people of Sehwi Wiawso, Ghana, and the Almighty God, and please pray for me, don’t forget to pray for me, the government and the people I have appointed to various positions that we will exercise our responsibility with humility and integrity,” onuaonline.com quoted the president as saying.

The President emphasized the importance of coming together as a nation and relying on the guidance of God in all endeavors, especially as Ghana continues to face various challenges.

During the ceremony, Bishop Samuel Nkuah-Boateng was installed as the new Bishop of Sehwi Wiawso. In an interview with the media, he pledged to continue serving the Diocese and impacting believers to know Jesus Christ more in their lives.

The President also used the occasion to assure the people of Sehwi Wiawso that the town roads would be completed before the end of his tenure of office.

All in all, the President’s call for prayers reflects the importance of spiritual guidance and support in the leadership of Ghana. As the country faces various challenges, it is essential for all citizens to come together, rely on God, and work towards a peaceful and prosperous society.
